I was here years ago, when there were tons of members, and tons of good posts.  This was back before the return of the king came out, and for a few months afterwards.  Then the site went down, or changed, and came back up with all the old accounts gone and all the old posts gone.

Does anyone else remember those times before the changes?

Yes!! Those were the days.... really, I do miss the flurry of activity. It's so sparse and dead now, and even I haven't been here for a while.

I was here then. Those were the days. I rarely come here now. After everything was deleted, it just never really was the same.

I'm still here from time to time, just not as active. I'm awaiting the second coming, when all the old folks get the nostalgia bug. Tongue

Once the Hobbit films come out things should get going again.  but things are going so slow with those films.  Casting has not even been confirmed.

Well, I... uh.. check up on this place once a few months?

Before RotK, yes, I was here.
In fact, I'd probably give a lot to know the date when exactly I first registered at MET. So I know it's around 7 years old, but that just doesn't have the same effect

I was around then. We had some very good times. Caption Contest was intense. Not to mention LL vs. ALL wars, duct tape wars, and lightsaber battles in the Prancing Pony.

LL vs ALL, hahha! That was classic!

I have this little rhyme someone wrote, from that time:

Got a little motto, always sees me through:
"When you're good to Leggy, Leggy's horrible to you"

Monky, how old were you?

Oh God, I remember that war. It progressed over a ridiculous number of versions of the Prancing Pony...and somehow crossed over into Star Wars. It was the most epic thing I've ever been involved with on the internet.

Nostalgia ITT.

I liked the war best when bazookas were the official form of weaponry, before the silly noobs introduced way too much sticky tape and such nonsense.

Alca! Here's one who hadn't visited the good ol' MET in a while

Yes, yes.  I'd like to give a big shout out to everyone who still visits here.  It's crazy how long ago this started.  2004, was it?  I've really lost contact with many of the people who I met here, but I do miss those days.

Good to see you, Alcarinque (no Number Pad on the laptop >_>). Slowly, the old members trickle back in...I like it.
