Nostalgia moment, people. I actually asked my mother for permission to join the site, I was so young. First forum I ever joined.

I'm around. Still have a few strong memories of this place from back in the day.

Before today though, I only had 2 posts in over a year so I guess that says something...

Ah it's been so long since I've been here. Just thought I would come on and see what was going on.

I do remember the good old days when I first join before ROTK.

That was the good old days.

Oh by the way I do miss TWet Wipe Wimp (WWW) messing things up anyehere and everwhere on this site. Even more so in The Prancing Pony.

Now that was some fun.

Oh and by the way I still like Lij/Frodo  Kiss just not as I did back then. He is still so cute.

That's great, but "the old days" could return anytime.  It just boils down to members getting more engaged in LOTR's discussions again.  I think if and when the Hobbit movie finally unfolds, that will be the time when things start to heat up in here again.

Another oldie here! Wow...it's so weird to be back, must admit I'm never on the site anymore. The last time I checked in I couldn't see much of the old members posting, but look at ye all here! Heru, Scroll, Leona, Alca, Monky, Jimmy, Wolfchild and everyone! Seeing all the memories in this thread is making me nostalgic...I really miss it guys! Great to see ye all here again though. Definitely a New Year's resolution to come back more often! Oh to ask a question of the wise Entwife! Does anyone remember the personal ads?? Tongue

I'm still here just not as much anymore. I do miss the old days when I first came on. It was over 5 years ago, maybe about 7 or 8 years ago.

People always reminisce about the old days, although those days are unlikely to return, the upcoming Hobbit films should generate more traffic.  Though I do wish some members would come on here more consistently as they once did.

It would be nice if more members came on like they used to. I miss seeing a bunch of people on here when I would log on. Now that I have posted some Hobbit movie news, they might come back.

A-HAH!

Guess who's back? Back again? Leo's back... once every year!
I should have probably done some password updating in all these years, though. It's pretty pathetic I still have some alternatives of the same one in.. active use.

So, sweethearts, I hope all who read this are well. In fact, yes, this does feel a little like sending a massage in the bottle - you suppose someone will read it one day, but that could be years later, or maybe never.

But nonetheless. I hope everything's going well for my fellow METizens - especially, of course, the old folk who've we've spend just way too much time on here with.
I've just done a quick calculation - that's 6 years I'm in Moscow, 2 years in the house and 2 years in the flat (that's sort of the way I count things) - so I must have joined MET around 9 or 10 years ago! Which is entirely mindblowing!
That said, the forum's forever in my heart - I still get to say things like "Yeah, my online friend from [insert country], whom I've met on a Lord of the Rings forum...". Which still seems a little cheesy and a little embarrasing.

But yes. This was just a little check-in. Ciao!
