1. What do you wish for Christmas?

2. What are you giving for Christmas?

3. What have you gotten for Christmas so far?

1. I wish the DVD player to be working around the Christmas holidays.

2. I only know that I'm getting a Rick Stein book for my dad at the moment.

3. Nothing, but I'm getting on with it this week.

Well Christmas is pretty predictable from a giving/receiving standpoint.  Not since the days of my childhood have there really been any surprise gifts.  Everyone in my family pretty much puts out their requests and gets what they've asked for.  I threw in a few "surprise" kind of stocking gifts, but not much else in the way of surprise.  I guess I wish what I wish every year - for a happy and restful time with family, and to just enjoy our time together, chatting, eating, etc.

My 7 year old's biggest gift was a typewriter (mummy, I can't be a real writer on the computer) and my 4 year old wanted hundreds of stuffed toys - she got quite a few.

I am totally against bratz dolls - dolls shouldn't  be called eye candy or wear garter belts.  I think they really enforce negative female stereotypes.

I got my husband a new briefcase (he wanted one) and I got an overlock sewing machine - I'm so excited.  My sister is a designer and she's coming over this week to help me figure it out.

My favourite thing that I got for people this year though were digital photo frames that I scanned all of the girls artwork onto for the grandparents.
