Has anyone read this?  It seems interesting.  I read "The Highwayman" by Salvatore awhile ago, and it wasn't bad, but nothing compared to Tolkien and his Middle Earth.  But the Dark Elf Trilogy seems like it could be an interesting read.  I'm wondering if anyone could offer their thoughts on this series.   Wink

I haven't read it, but you've peaked my curiosity.
I'll definitely check it out after I finish the Harry Potters (I reread before a book comes out) and I think I'm in for the mass read as well...

I will likely read it too.  However, with several books awaiting reading, and others I'd like to buy, we'll have to see how soon I could read this one.

Dark elf trilogy rocks man.Drizzt rocks, drows rocks and its a really good trilogy, especially homeland(the 1st book of the trilogy). If you read the dark elf you must also read the icewind dale trilogy(drizzt do urden is also the main char there).I believe that is a masterpiece and it is a must for those who love fantasy.

Thanks for the comments numenorian.  I will have to check it out sometime for sure.  The only Salvatore book I have read is one called The Highwayman.   Have you read it?  And if so, what are your thoughts?

No haven't read it to tell the truth but if you are interested in R.A salvatore read also the war of the spider queen it is great as well(its a trilogy btw). But if you read Salvatore dont expect Tolkien's style(well except dark elf trilogy in which you will say for gods shake this should be tolkien's work) but generally some of his early years books are really awesome.

Cool.  Yeah, The Highwayman was not bad, but sub-par in terms of anything Tolkien.
