It's been a year of bloody excellent games so far, and there's almost not enough time to get through them all.

What've you guys been playing and what are you playing now?

World in Conflict - Probably the best RTS game of 2007, and quite certainly the best-looking RTS ever to come out. From the makers of the cult-RTS Ground Control series, the game ditches base-building and resource management for to-the-action instant battles and heart-pounding micromanagement, with an entertaining single-player campaign and the most brilliant multiplayer of any RTS in this decade.

Bioshock - Any game from the twisted hallways of Ken Levine's mind is sure to be an atmospheric, philosophical and deeply disturbing hit and Bioshock delivers all that, and more! In the middle of the 19th century, scientists who were exhausted and exasperated by the landbased nations' fright of new technology and social progress, created their own city-nation under water. Welcome to Rapture.

Crysis - No matter how sleek, sexy and darkly intimidating your nanosuit, it's just impossible to keep a straight face while sitting at the top of a seven meter tall tree with a bunch of bananas you're ready to throw at the Korean military. This is how games should be! A car racing full throttle at you and you don't have time to get out of the way? PUNCH IT! And send it flipping over your head, to explode as it hits a cliff wall. Also features the most awesome end battle in a video game, ever.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare - Underneath the shiny, new hood and behind all the modern weaponry is an old friend. Single-player FPS'es never get more frantic and exhaustive than this.

Gears of War [PC] - Still an excellent game, and it feels so incredibly right with a mouse&keyboard combo this time around. You're still Marcus Fenix, slightly heavyset soldier extraordinare, and the game is still about cover-to-cover fighting against a heavily fortified foe, but there are extra chapters added and the graphics now look even more splendid with the new Pixel Shader 3.0. Prepare to take a temporary leave of your loved ones!

Assassin's Creed - Armed with 15 throwing knives, a longsword, a sheathknife and a halfsword, hashshashin Altair (the originators of the "assassin") finds his armament lacking and quickly figures out that the only place left to store another weapon is in his hand, so he cuts off a finger to fit another knife. You're the free-running, all-dancing, all-singing master of the rooftops whose masters, in their desire for peace in all things, wish to be rid of the nasty propogators of the Crusade; The Knights Templar. Featuring fully recreated cities like Damascus, Acre and Jerusalem around the year 1192, intelligent bystander and population AI and a brilliant control scheme for everything from jumping, wall-running, knife-throwing and general facestabbing, this is the console game of 2007. PC-hermits must settle for a Q1 2008 release, whilst us PS3 and 360 owners snigger in our beards.

So, have I missed anything?

I don't have that much time for gaming anymore, but I still play Lineage II from time to time.  I am a 44th level Elven Spellsinger.

I'm one of the hardcore Warcrafters myself, after playing it since around June last year, and becoming quite engrossed in it. I am aware this is not a console game, rather it is a game that you download and play on the computer, provided you also pay the subscription fee. The realm in particular that I have chosen to build my characters on is an RP one, which means people have to talk and write in that style, or make it obvious when they are speaking OOC (Out Of Character). I enjoy playing in this style, as it reflects the settings and themes of Warcraft, which I also believe is useful for learning to develop an eye for the lingo and understand strategy through interaction.

I used to be into gaming till 10th grade. Since then, other things have taken over. I still play tons of Pro Evolution Soccer every week though, preferably PES 5. PES is the only reason I bought myself a top-of-the-line Dualshock vibrox Gamepad.

I'm playing nothing new right now. Just the old X-box titles, Fable, World Cup, Morrowind, NBA Street V.3, SW Battlefront 2.

Chaz, you tried out Call of Duty 4 yet? It's pretty awesome on multiplayer.

alright i summed up all the hate in the world i have and gave it a name.....Jerusalem... i just hate it, no matter where i go theres always like  8 guards there who hate me..

i mean like I'm just walking down the street, do a stealth kill(disguised as a hug) guards blame me and start attacking me..then theres 1 guard left so he runs and I'm like no... so i chase him..as i hit the corner bam! 8 guards just happen to be walking by... so i start killing them... 1 left, he runs i say screw it and start walking the other direction safe right? no. as i start walking the other direction a guard has found his way to the bodies and blames me. so we start fighting and all of the sudden guards start dropping down onto the street(like archers and guards on top of buildings jump down) i started counting them and there was 8 of them...so i started killing them and a group of 8 guards just happens to go on patrol done my street... i mean come-on! so i killed them all I'm like finally! but then a guard heard all this noise walked down some stairs...saw me with a bloody sword out surrounded by dead bodies(you literally  couldn't see the street, just bodies and blood) and i screamed.. then  all out killed him, turned the other direction and ran towards some stairs....and.......a guard is walking down them....i literally screamed shut off the console and walked away....

man that was long...
