Anyone playing LOTR, the online game?  I hear it's pretty interesting.  Love to hear your feedback.

I've pre-ordered it, because it's not coming out for a couple of months. Can't wait to make myself a little hobbit

I've played it (I am in BETA), but though it's called Lord of the Rings Online, it really didn't give me the feeling I was in Middle-earth. The scenery was outstanding at times, but the 'enemies' were ruining it. Battling "Cavecrawlers" and "Aurochs" and "Bog-lurkers" just doesn't seem right to me. Next to that, I've seen numerous so-called "loremasters" using all kinds of flashy magic. Come on, even Gandalf couldn't shoot fire-balls from his hand!

The game is nice (especially with high-end equipment, which unfortunately I don't have), but if you want to get the feeling you're walking in Middle-earth, I suggest you just (re)read the books. Or just don't be so demanding as I am

well i'm more of a PNC game type person so i was obviously really bad at this game, so i cant offer you any hands on experience, or tips but you could try to look for a walkthrough or something online.  Typically they arent too hard to find....

regaurdless of the language of the game it is often very easy to find detailed guides to games like that one...

Or you can just try different combinations of things yourself and see if there is a better way of doing it.

Oh, dear. Runescape? This brings back... memories. O.0 My brother used to be obsessed, and I used to play a little before I gave up. Fantasy/medieval- type RP games don't need any sort of accuracy to be interesting, as long as they're not a cheap attempt at copying something else.

I used to be a bit of a Runescaper too, until I began to get a bit bored of the tediousness, so I went to WoW (World of Warcraft) and that seems to be doing the job. I think in terms of graphic quality and general gameplay, WoW has that sorted, it's only the price of subscription that ticks me off (and yet I pay it anyway).

cant play wow cause im broke
