Lexicalized: nice to hear you are born again as well (so is Insane Monkey).  Yeah as far as degrees go, I have a a bachelor's and a master's degree in theology/religion.  At this time I am 29.  If you don't mind me asking, how old are you?  Anything interesting you could tell me about yourself?  Really nice meeting you.  I will try and message you sometime and we can talk about our faith.

Wow, that's cool.  I'm 18.  I'm a little Freshman just workin' on my English-Writing bachelor's degree.   Smiley  Some stuff about me?  I'm a "homeschool" senior, I love creativity and all things expressive...especially writing (fictional stories and song lyrics are my especial favor-rites  Wink ).  Interesting, interesting....*thinks*.  I was raised on a farm, so I got a little redneck/country streak running through me.  *laughs*  I love photography, I'm especially attached to my family and I'm trying my best to give 100% of myself to God everyday (it sure is hard, ya know?)  And that's...all I can think of...  Smiley  Extremely nice to meet you.

Monky!  THAT'S FREAKIN AWESOME...I'M SO HEADED OVER TO JUMP IN THE ACTION!

P.S: Oh, Beren, I have a wife in NC who is actually...a man...seeing as I am actually...a woman.  It's...well....complicated. Wink

"P.S: Oh, Beren, I have a wife in NC who is actually...a man...seeing as I am actually...a woman.  It's...well....complicated."  Okay.  Care to elaborate.  Doesn't make sense to me.   Wink

*laughs*  Yes, my friends and I really don't make much sense in general.  My best friend in NC is a guy named Nick, and we met online.  I had called myself "Darth Vader" ever since a costume birthday party, in which I was vader and my other friend was Leai, thus I had "children" and no wife...so randomly...one day, while talking to said guy, Nick, I asked him to by my "e-wife" and things spiraled wildly, crazily into random out of controlness ever since...Although it's since worn off now that we're actually thinking about a relationship....hehe.

Clarified?

Well, OK then!
I'm English, living in Essex not too far from the Sea, the Countryside AND London, so the best of all worlds (useless fact - no-one living in the U.K. is more than 72 miles from the sea..).

I've been married for 24 years (to the same man as well, very unusual!) and have 4 "kids" aged 20, 19, 17 and 12. They and my husband are my best friends and it's my kids' fault that I have a mental age of about 17. We have a lot of fun together.  They are dragging me through a second childhood and I'm loving every minute!

I always loved the Lord of the Rings Books, but left it all alone for ages while we brought up the kids. Now I'm free to explore the stories again and rediscover my imagination - except these days it's usually online with a keyboard instead of scribbling in books. I'm hooked on the online Lord of the Rings game too, and play a hobbit minstrel called - you guessed it - Shiona.

I'm not overly religious, but don't panic, my soul is safe. I just prefer to interpret the Big Guy in the Sky's actions in my own way and it doesn't sit too well with organised worship. I have a huge respect for ANY place of worship, whatever religion, but find most peace if I can enjoy those places on my own, quietly contemplating my  life so far!

Well, that's me - a kid in a grownup's body, basically, with no hope (or need) of a cure!

Awww, that's pretty awesome!!  Haha, that's great tho, I have a lot of fun with my Mom too, although she's pretty much more "mature," we still manage to have fun randomly walking through the store goign "I CAN'T FIND THE EXIT!" Wink Well..more I do it, and she about dies laughing at me. Tongue

I freakin love England...although...I've never been there.  I'm dying to come overseas.  My mom went a couple years back and LOVED it.

And I love roleplaying (as you can tell in King of the Hill thread).  It's amazing fun.

Welcome, welcome, Shiona!  What is the website for the LOTR's online game?  Sounds interesting.   Wink

It's not a website as such - you buy it as a computer  game, but once installed, you are linked to a server and you play out your game with other players online, paying a small monthly subscription. It's a MMORPG game "massively multiplayer online roleplaying game" . You can play an elf, dwarf, human or hobbit and have various adventures and quests to fulfil in Middle Earth. It's set around the time of the Fellowship of the Ring and follows the books very closely.
There are different servers, with one server being reserved for roleplay. This is the server I play on - it's great fun!

If you're curious, this is the information website for the game  http://lotro.turbine.com/

Hmmm . . . sounds interesting.  Maybe I'll check it out.  I've been considering getting into a LOTR's game for awhile now.   Wink

Nice to have you back (sort of).  I've been wondering what happened to you.  Hope life is treating you well.  Ah the old days.  Well we can't live in the past forever.  I think this site can have a great future too.  Yeah the discussions with Zaku were always good, too bad he hasn't returned either.

Take care,

Beren

I am new to this forum and I want to say I love lord of the rings. My favourite characters are boromir, aragorn, legolas and gimli but my most favourite character of all time, is gandalf.

I hope to have a great time here. I would love to meet new friends on here.
