Hey, Diamond, welcome back! We're glad you found your way back to MET. This layout's been back for a while now, but not much else- everything else had to start from scratch. And concerning the old accounts- they all seem either to not work or be nonexistant.

I'm glad to be back  Smiley. It's relieving that MET is still up and about again, too, because I remember a time when things got pretty slow.

It was, until about up to a week ago. Now there are actually more than a few people to talk to.

That's good Smiley. I hope it's able to go back to how it was a few years ago. You'd login and there'd be more than two threads updated  Wink.

Ahhh, back in the Old Age MET thrived like bears with honey. We had new topics and dozens of new posts every hour, after a hard day of school you could come to good ol' MET and enjoy an argument or conversation or adoration of LOTR. The New Age of MET isin't bad, but we just need our vets back...

Cheers to a new age of Middle Earth Talk,

Well, I'd say I'm a sort of near enough Veteran really, I mean I'm not one of the original rockers, but I was around enough with the first board for at least a year or so. In fact, I think MET was the very first forum I ever joined...that's nostalgia for you.

I hope that inn still has my name on the threshold.

I'll go for the nostalgia trip. Wink

Long time no see. But where's all the posts gone? I remember combating spam once upon a time.

Wow, hi, Melian! Great to see you back!

I think MET was my first forum too. Dang, I really miss the old boards. But at least we have a good number of people from the first MET still here.

Actually this wasn't my first but it was my second real 'community'. I don't know much of the situation atm but the problems we had was the first months of incognito in the internet world, then a massive influx of people who had seen the films when they'd recently come out that dedicated a lot of time to gawk at the innate beauty of mister Orlando Bloom leading to a long period of nothing being said or massive things being said that were of little consequence.

Atm it seems pretty empty tbh.

You're pretty much right on. Traffic has decreased after such a long period after the movies. LotR-based discussion has been mostly exhausted, too. But the people who are here now are for the most part not the type you mentioned, thank goodness.

The problem with this kind of nisched forum is always that there's a limited amount of things to say about a limited amount of topics. Although anything can be solved if you have either a prolific or a numerous population...
