After getting in a family vacation and recharging a bit, and in light of the fact that the buyer is either unwilling or unable to pull the trigger on the transaction I've decided to keep the website and commit some additional resources to growing it.

I'll be starting that off right away with a Google adwords campaign to bring in more active users to the forums.

Thanks for everybody's patience on this and I'm sorry about the uncertainty.

I'm sorry that you were unable to find a new owner, although I am very glad to see that you have decided to keep the site. I must admit that I read your announcement with relief. At any rate, good luck to whatever developments you may decide to make to this site.

Glad to see you're still at the helm, Radagast. How's your band?

The band is ok I guess, not very active lately.
We made it into the studio before Christmas and released a song on our band site

Lately it's been tough getting practices going, in fact I had to blow one out today.

Things are chaotic with a 1-year old in the house.

Grats on the toddler! We applaud you!

Linky for the band site?

(I feel your pain on getting practices going, it's suddenly all girlfriends, jobs, term papers, family and studies when you turn old  Wink)

Tell me about it! It doesn't seem to slow down as they get older either. You find yourself within a new realm of chaos with each passing year.  Wacko

Radagast, I'm not sure if you remember me, I was member of these forums back in, hmm lets see when I was a freshman so that was almost 3 years ago, so 2004/2005 in that area. I went under the name of Calaquendi , and I'm sad to see many of the old faces that were once here gone. Good luck with this site, it hasn't changed much to be honest lol.

Trust me, you can only say that 'cause you haven't been around Wink In any case, welcome back. I used to be Harbinger / Enginerd from way back when.

It seems it would be pretty difficult to monetize a site like this, with Lord of the Rings being such old news. I can see how someone would be reluctant to take on the responsibility.

Wow...there are still people I know around here...
Glad to see you back Radagast.
I miss the old days when this forum was active and I knew everyone *laughs*. Life changes so fast...even in the online world.
Hope everyone from the old days is doing well and welcome to all the new LOTR obsessed people!

Welcome back Lordy and well met.
Hope you will come around more often.
I'm hoping that the Hobbit movie will help things along again.
