Do you prefer it over the traditional way?  Do you find yourself buying more items online?  Is online buying really a convenience?  I'm a personal fan on on-line shopping, but still like to go to the actual stores.  Most items like say food are just more convenient to buy in a store.  I guess there has to be some balance when it comes to this.  But there are some great savings to be found online (i.e. on e-Bay).

I love buying things online.
You can find odd things for very good prices.
You can always shop - if you feel like shopping at 3 am you can!
I like to buy celtic and elvish stuff and online is one of the only ways to do it!
I also love to buy in the UK and Japan and can't afford to travel every time I want to buy a pair of boots or an outfit!!!

I think the concept of buying things online is a brilliant one, especially when it comes to sites like eBay and Amazon where you can find stuff much cheaper than 'on the highstreet', but I think it gets a bit too digi-culture when you find yourself doing the same thing with food. The convenience that the supermarket will deliver the stuff to you is convenient I'll grant you, but it saddens me sometimes that people just do this alone for their food shopping, because it drains out the local shops and produce, which is often much fresher and organic. Apart from this, online shopping has many a pro.

I wouldn't order my groceries online, but ordering pizza or chinese food?  That I would do, although I haven't at this point.

I order take out online all the time!
I am a vegetarian married to a carnivore - I don't like cooking flesh!!!
When he wants meat I usually order it.
The little ones eat chicken but only when it is shaped like something or on a stick.  I have an organic butcher up the road that makes organic chicken nuggets in moon and star shapes - so that's what they eat.

Do you remember the film, The Net, with Sandra Bullock?  I remember her ordering pizza online back then and thinking that was a cool idea/option.

Yup, love it. If something's wrong, you've got your receipt and everything stored, and while it's quicker to pop down to the local Co-oP for my groceries, that's about the only thing that's more convenient? Games? STEAM and Direct2Drive. Movies? Netflix will usually have it before my retailer, at cheaper prices and usually in high-def. Music? Hah! The only time I buy CDs any more, is when I want one for my collection. The rest comes off iTunes. Books? I'll pander to a bookstore once in a while, to pick up random books that look readable, but mostly the net will give it to me cheaper, easier and just as quick, when it's a title I want.

Some things I wouldn't buy online, though; like used stuff.

I'd prefer to physically go out and look at most things before I buy. It's dependable and simply faster. On the other hand, the internet offers a greater range of choices and possibly better prices. It depends on the situation and product.

One thing I always factor-in when considering buying something online, has to do with the shipping cost.  You have to decide if the overall price is still cheaper when you factor-in the shipping.  If it is way more with the shipping, by the item locally.  But if it is still cheaper, then buy online.  Personally, I've found numerous savings online, even with the shipping cost included.  I've actually started to do some of my Christmas shopping online as well.

Aye, it's always a factor. However, some companies in Norway have turned super-nice about it recently, like my favourite indie record shop, who give you the status of a "Veteran client" once you've shopped for over 2500,- NOK. (Aproximately $400-450USD) which means free shipping!

I've already done some of my Christmas shopping online.  Hey, if I can avoid some of the crowds, why not?

I much prefer shopping in an actual store.  I'm extremely wary of viruses and software that can steal your personal information.  On top of that, I like to be able to see and feel the quality of products before buying them, typically clothes.
