I love dollhouses and miniatures (I'm so lucky I have little girls so the other parents don't think I'm weird) - today I found this tiny replica of Bagend!

That is cool.  Kind of cute.  But I'd have to say one would have to appreciate the creative energies that went into making such an intricate miniature.

My daughters and I have watched the Rivendell parts of Fellowship frame by frame to make an elvish house.

That's cool.  Do you have any pics of your elvish miniature?  It would be cool if you did, to post them on MET.  I'm sure people would love them.   Wink

I wish!

We are nowhere near finished!
I will post some work in progress pictures soon!

Maybe you guys can give me some kitchen input.  I think elves eat very differently than we do - so the kitchen would be functionally different.
Any ideas?

My first thought would be lambas bread. But that is more of a traveling food (Sort
of like our military rations) so I doubt that it would be present in the kitchen,
unless of course they were preparing themselves for the journey to the Grey
Havens. I also feel as though elves don't eat meat (am I mistaken?), so I think
they would have more of a diet of breads, vegetables, and alot of fruits.

I don't think they eat meat either, a lot more whole foods than our present society, which would make the kitchen a little different.  I although it could be a lot like my ideal kitchen (am an vegetarian that eats some dairy and eggs) but used to be vegan.  It takes a lot of work to raise healthy vegan kids so need a little bit of animal protein.
