I am, of course, in favour of anything that brings popularity back to this forum. Although I'm not sure as to how we go about refuelling it, I'll assist in whichever way that manifests.

Same here. We just need a surefire way to get the site active again. I'm up for anything that can revive this place.

I haven't seen anyone. The only admin who ever really comes on is Beren.

He's bound to see this thread when he gets on. Messaging him will get his attention faster, I'll admit. It might be better to post the idea here so everyone can see it and maybe help with it.

Get Paris Hilton to record her next romp and distribute it to people after they get 200 posts. Should work.

Hey everyone!  Good idea Christina!  Well I've been trying, and hoping for a long time that this site would liven up.

Initially I thought maybe when we introduced the "Children of Hurin" forum that that would spark some intersest and get things going again, but it didn't.  The thing is is that people actually have to take an interest and read it.  I personally thought it was an awesome and epic story (been awhile since I read it).  If you guy's were to commit to reading it, I would love to have some discussion about it.

Another thing which I believe will spark interest in the site again has to do with upcoming Hobbit films.  At the very least, once the first film comes out, interest and passion related to LOTR's and Tolkien-esque discussion should increase.  Along these lines, I have tried to generate discussion pertaining to any news concerning the upcoming films (casting, etc.).  But again, there has been a lack of interest overall (though some have replied to these threads, many have not).

The idea about getting the site promoted or advertised on say, Facebook would be great.  Anything that would garnish the level of exposure that a Facebook-type site would garnish would be favorable to the resurrection of the site.  But for something like that to be approved, Radagast's approval would be needed.  You see I am only a lowly Istari (lol).  But I have put my name into the hat to get up to the Valor rank, but I have not heard back on that.  So my pull or clout is minimal.  Even as a mod., I have rarely in recent consecutive months heard from any of the other mods.  We have a forum for mods only, and most of the time it is only me that pops my head in (no new posts, etc.).

You Facebook guy's could simply post links to the site on your pages, and try and spread the word.  Maybe if Radagast reads this topic he could look at bigger ways to promote and expand the site.

I love the site and would love to see it move forward, and return to the "good old days."  Hey, I don't mind replying back and forth with Andunie, Wolfy, Arwen and Christina on the same threads all the time (lol), but it would be nice to get some of the Middle Earth discussion back to the forums, and even the debates we used to have in forums such as "The Debating Society."

My thoughts,

Beren

p.s.  I have tried to contact Radagast via one, a pm, and two, through the moderators forum.  Lets cross our fingers.  Maybe something can be done!   Smiley

Hey I reply in some places too Beren. -pouts- I guess this means we're in a stalemate for now. I can link friends here and such (when I'm not playing LOTR Online).

Sorry, Arwen.  I meant to include you, as you are a definite regular here.  OP has been revised!   Smiley  But yeah, please do what you can to promote the site.
