How frustrated I am with my computer.  It has some serious problems, and might need to be replaced (hence my absence the past week or so).  I will be on periodically, but not as much as I'd like to.  The crappy thing is that it is only a year old.

I'm thinking I wish my account w/ my bank was all fixed, so I can get paid from the Survey companies I'm w/ and I'm thinking of Frodo LOL. Sorry to hear about ur computer, I cleaned mine using Disk Cleanup (felt silly when I found out how to get it), and freed up 5.32 gb of space! I was getting crittically low, too!!

Lairėnuriel: Glad to hear I am missed.  A tech. guy came over to my place and ran some tests.  It seems as though my hard drive is failing.  He will run some further tests and then get back to me asap.  If his "further testing" doesn't work, then I might have to buy a new computer.  I will be on sporadically until I get this thing resolved.

Yes you are missed!!!
One of my machines (the computer that my 4 year old calls hers) just had it's hard drive give up - I am in the process of replacing it...

Aww, that's too bad, feel better soon. I'm thinking that I miss talking to Frodo (on here and EWN) wonder where he's gone to...and that it's awfully warm tonight...I'm watching Ghost Hunters right now LOL!

Did you actually talk to the real Elijah??  Huh Huh

My computer has been fixed - finally.  And the awesome thing is that I don't have to buy a new one.  That would have sucked, considering my computer is less than a year old.  It seems as though the hardrive was fine, I guess the problem had more to do with some corrupted files.  These files were causing Windows to act weird.  Maybe the files got corrupted due to some virus(es)?  Who knows?  But at least it is running great again.   Wink

By any chance does your sister live in the Phoenix area?   Wink

Might I ask why you hate pools?  I could sure use one right now, as it is about 30 degrees and too hot inside my house.
I can't swim, and my friends kept trying to throw me in the deep end!  Cry

Diamond: Ah, I hear ya.  That makes sense.  Ever consider learning to swim?  Water is not all that bad.  It could also save your life someday.

I've considered it, but the thought of swimming just freaks me out. I'm not sure why, but I just have this huge fear of not being able to feel the ground beneath my feet. I'll probably regret never learning later in life, though.

I have a weird love of water which I've had since I was a child...but in doing so I remember the swimming baths I learned to swim in, with a glass roof directly above the pool, which was nice enough if there weren't quite so many insects falling down into the water...but it wasn't too bad. I remember with intrigue learning the 'pencil dive'; basically jumping feet first into the deep end, whilst just before hitting the water you clap both arms above your head. You surface from the water, swim to the shallow end, and you're done, but I don't know if it was truly practical for real life. We also had some odd lifeguards there, who wouldn't let us go in the deep end- maybe we were too small.
