What is the highlight of your day?

Mine is the fact that I get to go the roller rink and go roller skating tonight.

Being home, after the toils of college, sitting at the table drinking tea and watching television, whilst talking to my sister about our days.

snuggling up with my 3 1/2 year old in the rocking chair when it's time for him to go to bed.

Awe Lothlorien that sounds so sweet. I am happy for you. Mine are 13 and 8 and can't have nomore. But I love when I get to hold my 8 year old all the time. My 13 year old however is at that point that she doesn't like to be held or touched so it's not often I get to hug or kiss her.

It is funny. when my 13yr old was a baby she loved me to rock and hold her all the time. My 8yr old didn't like to be rocked. But now it's the other way around. It often hurts me when I want to love on my 13yr old and she doesn't so I turn to my 8yr old. They both know I love them the same but sometimes I feel like my 13yr old thinks I  favor my 8yr old more than her but it's not true at all.

when he was little, he didn't like to rock.  I could just sit in the chair with him, but not rock.  He is still somewhat motion sensitive.  He never liked the baby swing and still doesn't like to swing on a big kid's swing.  He just started to like a few rides at the amusement park, but very few.  At a fair this past summer, we put him on a little ride that he wanted to go on.  We didn't realized that it didn't just go round but jiggled him around and such.  He was green by the time he got off that ride.

My 6 1/2 year old is very affectionate, but only when it suits her, which is not always the right time.  It's usually when I'm walking through the kitchen or something.  She's really moody, too.  She's gotten better about the hugging when it's an odd time though.

I do love my time with the little guy though.  He's such a great kid.  Not whiny or irritable.  I'd raise 10 of him.

I think no matter how good or bad our kids are we would never trade them for anything in the world and we would have thousands of them too.

Ok on the opposite side of "What's The Highlight Of Your Day", "What's The Downfall Of Your Day"?

Let us know what the worst part of your day is or was so we can give support.

So far my day is just fine nothing wrong.

Well today, it's having the most awful full-blown and worstly timed cold in the history of mankind. I say worstly timed because it's my dad's birthday today, and he is having the most major partly tomorrow that we haven't had in ages, and I am going to be the one sniffing away and looking like Rudolph+ a few whiskeys.

Thanks, Scroll. I had hoped it would clear up a bit today, but I don't think it has (yet). I'll tell my dad the message, though.

Merged highlight/downfall topics. You can discuss both here.

Oh ok Glio no problem my friend.

The downfall of my day was when my 8yr old daughter was outside earlier this evening playing with the neighbor boy on his trampoline and she came in crying, screaming, and holding her nose. She had jumped up high and when she went down she hit her nose. She came in bleeding but my hubby and I get her cleaned up. She's ok now, a little swollen and bruised though.

There is nothing more scarier when your child is screaming and bleeding somewhere. It makes you feel like you are going to die.

I don't like to double post but wanted to say that my hubby took our daughter to the emergency room lastnight after seeing her nose looked crooked. The doctor said he can't see that it is broken. For her to keep an ice pack on it, sleep with her head up, and take it easy. But in about 3 days when the swelling goes down and we notice anything like a dent or something not normal then take her to the doctor. That it may be broken, but he didn't think it was. So that is the highlight of my day today.

She isn't going to school today. SHe thinks the kids will laugh at her with the bruising and swelling. She stick has some pain so we are letting her stay home today.
