I just thought it would be interesting to see.

Also, if you pick Christianity please elaborate and tell which denomination (such as Catholicism or Lutheranism, etc.) you are.

Or if you are any other religion and want to elaborate feel free to do so.

I have given up trying to figure out what my beliefs fall under.

I've finally come to admit what a confused sod I am over these matters. laugh

I think (or at least I am more certain than anything else) that I am very much atheist. I have a strict dislike of Christianity (though please note that that is from a religious perspective, and is not generally aimed towards those who follow it) for a great many reasons which I am sure I have elaborated on in the Debate section enough for people now. I find myself an atheist because I believe that I am responsible for my own life (as opposed to everything happening for a reason, and the vague word that is 'fate') and that I am wise and sensible enough to know morally what is right and wrong, and also that I am at a stage now where the guidance I need comes only from parents, teachers, literature, occasionally the television and even more occasionally the media on the off chance (the last two are intended on a less serious note). Religious belief, it seems to me, is a matter of coincidental occurrences twisted to the point of diluted rationality and superimposed explanation; this, I do not like, as it distracts from the truth, and distorts the minds of the gullible. However, I take enjoyment of the less devout religions, such as Buddhism, Wiccan, etc, but only so far as I am interested in the historical, natural and mediative aspects.

I am a born again Christian, adhering to doctrine connected to/associated with the Protestant/evangelical teachings.  You can get a good idea of my beliefs if you look at some of the debates that have taken place in other threads.  I am more than willing to elaborate if there are any further questions.   Wink

I find that my beliefs fall also under atheism, for primarily the same reasons as Wolf stated. In my opinion, faith in many other religions involve the molding of rationality and reasoning to what seems ideal, to what people wish to be. Atheists are perfectly capable of making moral judgements without any other reason to back those decisions up.

Born again Christian, and I'm a Protestant.

Catholicism (did I spell that right?), like I've been brought up, but I'm going through a stage right now where I'm kind of questioning a lot of the ... doctrine, I guess is the right word.

From the days of nursery to the year five of primary school (six or seven years) I was brought up in a Christian school, but only because it was the local school at then, and my family had to make do. At the time, I don't really know what I believed, but I look on it now with a degree of nostalgia, because nothing was enforced or ingrained, and we were only children after all. It was through my high school years (when I had moved away, and thought about things a lot more) that I gradually became more and more bitter about Christianity, and found myself thinking a lot more about atheism, or at least that I started to strictly question religion.

I always call myself an "Agnostic Buddhist Pagan".   Cheesy
I don't follow any religion in particular. I really don't believe in organized religion.
But I do have some sort of faith, although it in no way follows Christianity. (Other than the do onto others type lessons. As far as God and Jesus and all that I don't believe in it the way Christians do.)           I don't really believe in God, although I don't rule it out either. (Hence, the Agnostic in me) I definitely don't believe in the Christian God.  My openness to the possibility of a God are more nature oriented, which is where the Pagan comes in. And I totally believe in Karma, and a few other Buddhist-related beliefs.

I'm a Catholic, but I deviate from the fine points a bit. For example, I don't agree with a lot of the stuff Catholics put out nowadays; some of it's just stupid (in my opinion, no offense to anyone). Thinking about religion and what's right and wrong has gotten me thinking for hours, but it just makes my head hurt and I never come to a satisfying conclusion. Everything seems to have both a good and bad side (even if it's in a very morbid sense), so I just tend to leave it at "to each his own."

I was born and raised in the belief of my parents-catholic. There was a time when I didn't knew what to believe in..
And then I've mixed all kinds of religions like:Buddhism, Wicca, Paganism,...and gained my own religion that is based on love to the nature, peoples and animals, peece and harmony.
