Who is your favorite sports icon?

This can be a current player, or a player of the past.  Any sport will do.  You might have a few to list down.  Mario Lemieux would have to be my favorite, with Michael Jordan a very close second.

Dennis Bergkamp has always been my sporting idol. He was a true genius. What made him extra-ordinary was that not only was he physically capable like all sporting greats, his play was almost poetic, there was art in his movement.

Check out his goal against Newcastle in 2002. Its almost like ballet on a football pitch. I rate Bergkamp higher than even Cruijff and Van Basten as a true Dutch legend of Football.

My favorite "sports icon" is Adriano Moraes-the three time world champion Bull Rider in the PBR.  *laughs*  I adore that man.  He's an amazing bull rider...I swear, no one can do it like he does.  Not to mention he's got biceps the size of China....
