I've given this a lot of thought and have decided to pass the torch to somebody who will be more committed and has more time to devote to making this site work.

Dark Lord will be the new owner/operator of Middle Earth Talk/LordOfTheRings.org

I think this is what's best for the website and the community and I encourage all mods and members to give Dark Lord your support.

(All hail the Dark Lord, pledge allegience to the Dark Lord  - just kidding)

Hey guys,

Whats up! First let me introduce myself. My name is Mike but on this board u can call me Dark Lord. Don't let the name fool you though I'm not actually evil Tongue To answer your question, no, I have not been an active member of the board in he past but I will most definately be starting now. I am a college student (a computer science major) who is a hardcore LoTR fan and I bought this site from Radagast because I was looking for a project that I can spend my free time on (which I have a lot of Smiley). I plan to be working on improving the site nonstop and hopefully building this site up to the potential I believe it has. Basically I want to make lordoftherings.org the best LoTR fan site on the net and the only way I can do that is to keep the community (thats you guys!) happy and make improvements that will attract like-minded LoTR fans. I'll be starting some threads pretty soon asking you guys of any improvements you guys would like to see to the site and the board and I will try to impliment as many of them as I can. I know you guys must be like, "WTF we dont even know this guy and now hes in charge of the boards" but I pomise I'll try as hard as I can to keep everyone happy and not make changes you guys don't approve of. If you guys got any questions, suggestions, or just want to say whats up, u can respond tot his thread, PM me or email me at primal001@gmail.com.

Well, I certainly picked an interesting time to come back for a peek at MET.

Radagast, you will surely be missed! But nonetheless, this sounds like it could be a good step forward in rebuilding interest in the site. Congratulations then, to the new owner Dark Lord! And welcome!

Same here from me. I am just curious about the changes. Because when our site was crahsed months ago we got a new look and no one liked it and alot of members had quit, including me. But one day I came back and seen that the old site was back and running, so I came back. But we have lost so many members from the crash, about over 100 I think. Now we only have about 15 or so I think.

Maybe the new change will be good and I am looking forward to it too. Just please don't change the look, we seem to be more at home with it. I like this look and if DL needs anything I am here for him.

Anyway, Dark Lord you'll realize that this place is not very exciting, and our member count is low, any ideas how to make this place more popular would be greatly appreciated

O yea and as scroll said, please do not change the website again i just got used to this one.

Radagast I didn't know you very well but still I think you were amazing for starting this community. Through this place I met one of my best guys friends and so I shall forever be eternally grateful to you for starting this site because without this guy I don't know where I'd be,

Well it looks as thought Dark Lord either isn't serious or can't put his end of the deal together, he hasn't responded to my emails for close to a week.

I've informed him that I'm recommencing my search for a new manager/owner of the site.

Until then, I guess that leaves me as the proprietor still.
