What do you think about reports that weapons of mass destruction have been found or that Sadam got rid of them prior to the US invasion?

See the following link:

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,200499,00.html

Fox... eeeee..... again, Beren, not exactly the most neutral source. But I'll let that go for a minute.

Why haven't I heard about this before? I mean, if this were valid, I would think the Republicans would be all "nyah nyah told you so" about the war by now...

Numenorian, that is totally different. We wikk not use our nuclear weapons, unless we are attacked first. Saddam, or any other of these unstable dictators, could launch one without warning, killing millions of people.

And Beren do not go to Fox if you want unbiased news.

Why do you trust our goverments i can't understand, cause it's the ones that first used nuclear weapons and showed the way.But ok that should not be mentioned  on that topic.

You are generalizing again. Piling insults on others don't help anything. I'd like to see you lead a country with 100% citizen support. No one is perfect, so we should not assume that leaders make no mistakes. There have been bad leaders, good ones, and people anywhere in between, but the world is not black and white. Now, I agree that Bush has not been making all the best decisions, but then again no matter how good a politician is, people will find some fault to pick on and blow out of proportion.

First of all i am not a politician and i don't want to be one.Secondly the reason why they re placed their(to the goverments) is because of their ability to handle problems properly.I don't accept the excuse they re humans' and they do mistakes etc.. because their place is to solve the problems as best they can if they can't let them go find other jobs they re useless.Im saying that because in case i don't do my job well ill be fired why can't i do amistake on my job while they do the same mistakes over and over again?

Okay I won't go to Fox.  But where then should I go?  CNN?  Don't think that they're unbiased either.  CNN reports one thing, and then fact and reality tell something else.  I few years ago I was in Russia, and there was a major flood around the Black Sea area (also effected Ukraine).  CNN reported that only several people died - maybe no more than 50.  However, the Russians and also Ukrainians reported that the death toll was in the hundreds.

Is there such a thing as an unbiased news station?  Tell me if you find one.  All news stations have agendas.

A. You were in Russia? I might want to hear stories of that.
B. That sounds more like misinformation than political bias... if anything, wouldn't they have eggagerated the numbers?

Give me a break. If you hate this country so much, no one is forcing you to stay. Try Iran or North Korea and then let me know if you still think America is such a bad place.

In case you haven't noticed, Russia is an open country now that the USSR is gone. Wink A lot of people go to Russia.

Ill say one thing.Real life is not LOTR,so im not saying that Iraq's goverments were the best and i don't like fascistic goverments.I ll raise a different question in order you understand what i m saying.Who is controlling us(i mean goverments decision etc..) and i say firstly money i hope we all agree in this one.Secondly who are the people who have the money, businessman and generally big company organizations. To sum up i want to say that i do pity some of you that you re in a really young age(teenagers mostly) and you don't your revolution, meaning doubt things, doing things opposite of what they say to you(or at least have your opinions).

Uh... yeah. I know. But France is open too, and sometimes people like to hear about when people went to France.
My reasons for being interested in a place are not restricted to whether it's "open" or not.  Wink

Zaku: Russia was an awesome experience.  I wouldn't know where to begin.  You think they exagerated the numbers?  Political misinformation?  Those are typical American things to say.  I guess when you are the most powerful nation in the world, you tend to forget that there are other nations that could actually possess reliable data, and you tend to be ego-centric.  CNN also misreported and exagerated other reports in Asia as well - which I also travelled to.  Maybe try and see the world a bit, and remove your own bias.  Maybe you still think you are in the Cold War.

Dennis: you make a good comment on Russia.  Russians, I might add are very intelligent people as well.  And as you suggest, much has changed since 1991.  Moscow was rated the most expensive city in the world, and its landscapes and architecture is amazing.  I'll never forget when I arrived there and was drving down one of the main highways close to Moscow, and I saw a Ford auto dealership.  Their shopping malls are very "western" and moderized, and large.  The Kremlin, Red Square, Lenin's tomb, St. Basils Cathedral . . . where to begin.

I struggle to understand what you're talking about and fail consistently. What are you saying? That Saddam's government was 'the best'?

We decide for ourselves what we want. Bush isn't exerting any more control than he was given when duly elected.

[quote[Secondly who are the people who have the money, businessman and generally big company organizations.[/quote]

And your point is? Big corporations are owned by the public. That's what the stock market is about. In America, everyone has the opportunity to make for themselves whatever they want. Don't blame anyone but yourself for what you don't have.

umm...

I think you're saying that we don't have the experience to doubt what we're told? Don't patronize us. First it would be helpful of you to gain a basic understanding of what you're talking about before spewing your anarchist propaganda.

Oh spewing anarchistic propaganda? If mine is an anarchistic propaganda then yours is a brainwashed one.Secondly I m not in any political team and just because i say things the way they are(from my perspective) it doesn't mean i am anarchist.I like to say things the way they are.On this matter the things i'm saying re not anarchistic views because anarchy believes that we shouldn't have goverment or police etc...Im saying that our goverments re not good with those they re making war with and i ve never said anything anarchistic. Also i ve never mentioned that i don't want a goverment the problem is that when someone is saying sth completely different you re putting names on him and thats a propaganda my friend.Oh btw a teenager from his nature doesn't compromize and not from his beliefs and it is sad that some teenagers have lost it,because young people re those that can make the world better.

Woah, you totally misunderstood me. I was trying to say, instead of making a political issue out of it, maybe CNN just got the wrong information. Not political at all.
And I'm saying it would have been more in line with CNN and other news stations' character to have exaggerated the numbers to make it a bigger story.

Misinformation means wrong information, not necessarily propaganda Tongue

Zaku: okay, sorry if I misunderstood you.  But, the way you put it didn't make sense.  After just referring to Russia (in A:), you say "they" (in B:).  To me it makes more sense that the "they" is Russia or Russians.  We do agree with the notion that most news stations have agendas and are biased.

By the way, you don't to answer this if you don't want to, but out of curiosity, where are you from?  It is obvious most on this site are Americans.
