I do want to wish you all a HAPPY HALLOWEEN.

I want to invite everyone to the PP in the PLayground of this forum for a Halloween Party.
We will have all sorts of food, drinks, fun, scare, and music.
If you don't have a costume they will be provided there. All kinds of costumes.
So come one, come all and have a spooky of a time.

I'm being a werewolf too! My dad makes all my masks, and I'll be sure to post pictures as soon as he sends them to me from his computer.
We went to several costume contests last night, but my little sister won one,and the other we left early. But still. She gets to be put in the newspaper. ^_^

Ah! Saw 3 is out! Woo-hoo! Mom and me really want to see it, but we probaly won't get the chance.

Happy Halloween!

Oh I love scarey movies anytime, but at Halloween is the best.

My daughter and I were watching on tv 100 of the best scarey movies and 30 more scarey moments.
Well you will never believe whomever made the list thought was scarey.
In no particular order

1. The original Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory
2. Wizard Of Oz
3. Jurassic Park
4. Teminator
5. Duel
6. Jaws
7. The orginal Steppford Wives

Now isn't that rediculas?

Don't forget black teeth, a traditional symbol of beauty in Japan.

From http://web-japan.org/kidsweb/plaza/culture/faqc_culture.html

"Did Japanese women used to paint their teeth black?
Yes, until the nineteenth century some Japanese women used to dye their teeth black as part of their makeup. This was called ohaguro (black teeth). It was thought that black teeth made a woman look beautiful. The dye was made by soaking iron in tea or sake (rice wine) until the liquid turned black. Unfortunately the dye sometimes contained lead, which can make people sick or even kill them. Ohaguro has a long history but was most popular in around the 1700s. It continued until the late 1800s. In 1873, the Empress of Japan appeared in public with her own white teeth showing, and it seems that other women copied her. This may have been how teeth blackening died out."

No problem. If someone walked up to me and told me that something like dying my teeth black was a sign of beauty, I would be skeptical at first too Cheesy

Btw how was everyone's halloween? Mine just came and went, I was really really busy last night Sad

Which is what makes it fun. Its a designated day to be deliberately strange, embrace strangeness and enjoy it, celebrate it.
