I don't know if this is the right place for this or not. But I have found God again.

I want to start by saying I apologize to all for telling a fib on another topic. I said that, "I read the Bible, pray, and watch preaching on tv everyday." Not everyday I did this. So I apologize and here is my story.

The other day I had gotten angry with my girls for no reason at all. I apologized to them before they left for school but I still felt bad. A little later I was flipping through the channels on tv and decided to stop on a preaching show. They were talking about anger and it made me think and I decided to cry. I closed my eyes, prayed, and cried through the whole show. I felt so much better after I got done.

Later another show came on about financial problems and lifting them to God. I lifted mine to God and watched the show. I gave my whole heart back to God that day. I have been watching preaching now, reading the Bible, and praying everyday since. I haven't felt better in a very long time.

Losing my job I think was the best thing for me physically, mentally, and spiritally. I'm not as run down in all them areas. I exercise in the mornings before I do anything else along with the other above.

I take better care of my family too. Better meals, my kids don't have to eat cold cereal in the mornings before school now. my house is cleaner. I just feel great and my kids and hopefully my husband sees things changing for and within me.

I am getting off the topic. I just want to rejoice in God's name for making me whole again. I have a long way to go but I am getting there slowly and I know he will make things right for us financialy. I do have a question though. I know people says to tithe 10% of money you recieve and God will make things happen for you.. The problem is that I don't go to church and have no way of getting there. Also my husband wont see it feesable(sp) since we have bills to pay. Is it ok not to give a tithe and still have God to bless me financialy? I asked for God to forgive me yesterday for not tithing and to bless us. What do you think? I should know this since I have was reborn when I was 12 and I am now 38. I just backslid since I was about 18 or so. I need help on this tithe thing.

Anyway if you all would look in a mirror at youself and say, "God loves me" , as many times as your age (I am 38 so I do it 38 times) I really think it will make you feel better. I am going to start doing it everymorning before I do my makeup and stuff so I will have my natural beauty and not fake one. I heard about this yesterday on a preaching show and it made the testifier feel so much better about themselves. I pray you do to.

So on that note may God bless and be with you today and always.

So if you want make your testimonies here about yourself, mentally, physically, and most important SPIRITALY (sp).

Scroll, im speechless, and very happy, overjoyed for you, the Bible says to obey your husbands, it also says to give back to God a portion of what he gave to you. I take it your husbands not a believer because he sees it unfeesible to tithe, if not then i suggest you find the passage and show it to him. If that doesnt work, remind Him(assuming he is saved, whether or not will help this situaion tremendously) that God is the ultimate owner of all things and He deserves all the money, nut he only requires ten percent, God WIL NOT LET YOU DOWN!! He will help you through your financial problems, i too struggle with giving ten percent, its a lot, but i find that when i tithe it i feel better and God always seems to provide. I also caution you when using this advice, the Word of God is living and powerful. There will be strife between believer and Non, God is your ultimate authority, i would just hate to see you get into a strife with your husband, i urge you to be in prayer about this as well,I hope this helps, and ill add this last thing, I would not tell you not to tithe, nor would i tell you to tithe behind your husbands back. Another option would be tohave a heart to heart with him, tell him how much it means to you. Also remember the parable of the woman who gave what she could, not out of her surplus like the rich man who gave with arogance, give what you can and Gos will Bless you.

He isn't a nonbeliever. He believes in God and all and I love him. H isn't stopping me from going to church or doing what I want. He just thinks our finances is first priority and a small part of me thinks so too.

The months of October and November are a big time for churches to really discuss tithing, as it's been such a topic in our church as well.  Our church is really trying to tye up the budget deficit for this year.

We cannot give  10% at this point.  My husband wouldn't do it either, although he goes to church with us, but not regularly.

Our church talks about tithing, however they are not pushy.  Basically, they say if you are only giving 3%, try to give 4% this year and so on..  Perhaps, increasing it a percentage a year will not be such a hardship on your family.

Last year, when my husband got his bonus, we gave a large donation to the church.

Glad to hear that you are back on track with your relationship with God.

God Bless you and   your family!

I'm not going to push the Tithe thing. I'm just going to wait and see what happens and I think God will understand.
