The basic reason im writtin this post is that i know that many guys here might play dnd like me so i want to say sth cause i have 2 guys that piss me off with the world of forgotten they say that is better than M.E and stuff like that ok i admit forgotten re bigger and i have fun with them too but it does not have the epic that M.E has and of ccourse u cant simply say that forgotten re better cause their main idea is M.E.After that the chars re not the same if we say for example the typical forgotten char drijd(srry for the spelin i always forget it:p)
ok he has cool backround but he doesnt reach the M.E chars cause Tolkien knew what to do in order his chars not doin the same again and again thats all i would say more but it would be much boring.M.E F@@kin prevails guys.

I had to read this over three times to try and get some gist of what you are trying to say, and I still can't understand it. Try taking some time to make sure people other than your colloquial self can understand it.

Yeah I agree with wolfchild, I only understood that someone said DND(Dungeons AND dragons??) Is better than Middle Earth. What kinda idiot said that, and there's really no reason to cuss, we all know Tolkiens better

i think i understood. i'm assuming that drijd is drizzt do'urden? he is a very cool character. i really admire r. a. salvatore's stuff, but i agree that it doesn't amount to tolkien's works.

r. a. salvatore writes books for forgotten realms, forgotten realms does do d&d, but these are just stories. if you are interested, start with the icewind dale trilogy. they're pretty good... i liked it a lot. shannara books were the first tolkienesque books i read, and i hated them, but salvatore's stuff was actually very nice.

when i read shannara i pretty much laughed at most of the parts. it was just because it was like he was reading lotr while he wrote it, and kept using elements from it. terry brooks is an awesome author, and he told the stories very well, i really enjoyed the character building, but it was way to similar to lotr. salvatore's forgotten realms books at least have dark elves that are pretty original, i think he was the first to do black skinned elves, so it gives the stories something new. drizzt is pretty amazing.

his swords have cool names too... icingdeath and twinkle.
