I heard last night that Kin Jong Il has apologised to Chinese officials for the nuclear testing, and has promised to get rid of the weapons if the USA will stop threatening financial repercussions.
Wow. If that's true, that would be AMAZINGLY  out of character for him... almost miraculous o.o

...Unless he's lying, which would mean something really bad is happening.

Eh, if he is putting on a front it would be for something soon. It'll take a couple years before he has sufficient nuclear capability to threaten anyone. More like ground/rocket war while he puts his underground labs on overtime.

How do we know he doesnt already have that cabability, if i were him, i would of waited until i had enough power before i went demanding things from any of the top military powers in the world, and it doesnt have to be soon because he could be just stalling, just long enough, remember this guy is nuts

Because all of his tests have been flops.

Remember, he's not very smart. He's been making bonehead moves for years.
Like you said, he's nuts.

Just a few things from earlier in the thread;

- War with North Korea is not unavoidable. In fact, you'll probably have to go through China in all the meanings of that word, before the US are allowed to land troops in the area. China has the interest in the region of bordering on NK, which means that any form of military operations inside NK will result in a massive torrent of half-starved, terrified refugees will roll over their borders. One way or another - by that, I mean soldiers firing on civilians or the refuges actually getting into the mainland - it would be a disaster to China, who is, inarguably, a far waster powerhouse in the Region than the USA. The same with South Korea, though they have more limited capability.

- The availible information hints at that Kim Jong Il (Kim is actually his last name) does not want long range intercontinental missiles, but small, thermonuclear devices that can work on a mortar-launched basis, like a Davy Crockett or an Atomic Annie. This would, in effect, give NK a real ball's grip on the terrain, as they could transport it around and threaten the countries in their range.

- The population of NK are suffering and starved. While NKs military is truly a force to be reckoned with, Russia and the US' underhanded suggestions that they would arm national militias to rebel against the government puts everything on edge, because most of the NK army consist of irregulars and other people with very close ties to the civilian population.

As i have said noone should have nuclear weapons but if europe and U.S use them why the other countries shouldn't?Because if we want it or not it's us(Europeans and Americans) that we want to control over humanity because if you think it right the 2 biggest wars were place in europe and the first who used nuclear weapon were the American's(hiroshima nagasaki sorry for the spelling) so don't say that the other's are lunatics because our leaders are the same with those that oppose them.

Okay, China has said that reports of Kim "apologizing for nuclear testing" are false. Also, that he still believes he reserves the right to "take further action" if he is pressured more.

"If you are the paranoid dictator of a friendless state that is still technically at war with both South Korea and the United States, a nuclear arsenal is your ultimate insurance policy."

I, for one, could see this coming. Next up, Iran.

Oh btw, I would personally like to thank A.Q. Khan for making all of this possible.
