The latest news is that the Prince will go to Afghanistan.  Currently he is training in my country - Canada, preparing for his assignment in Afghanistan.  Good luck to him!   Wink

Meh, Numenorian, I don't mean to pick a fight, but I think you might want to be a littttttle more respectful.

I realize I'm jumping in a little late, but I agree that it's probably a good thing he didn't go to Iraq--while it's a good gesture, if he went through with it, it would be putting his troops in a lot of unneccessary danger.

I wonder, does it put him/them in less danger just because they're going to Afghanistan intead of Iraq.

Really, I think, for whatever reasons the Prince decided to do this, it's still a brave thing.  You don't see any sons of our American politicians jumping out there to serve they're country.  *thinks*

But I know I must go on
Although I hurt, I must be strong
Because inside I know that many feel this way
Children, don't stop dancing--believe blind.
Children, don't stop dancing--believe you can fly away...away.
So let's go there--let's make our escape
Let's ask can we stay?
