Just a debate what you are thinking abou this war as a whole...My opinion is that I can't watch inoccent people dying because the big guys want each one of them control the oil production. It is so disgusting watching kids and families getting bombed. We had the previous guys(USA) with the war on "terror" now we have the Russians who pretent that the georgians(the Georgians entered first but i don't like the way Russia respond that they didn't know and had 200 tanks outside waiting for Georgians to enter there first) entered the area first and now they claim that Ocetia is part of Russia.Btw if you ask me who made this situation there(because just in case someone doesn't know, ocetia is a pass for the oil to Europe) i will say the western countries(we have learned to do everything backstabbing("diplomacy")) and ofc the former KGB GUY who is doing the exact same things as the others but he doesn't compromise he wants the others to be compromised with him.

The Russians flexed their muscles... big deal. They have this constant need to be recognized as a superpower over the last few years, with all the gas-money inflating their economy and them being economically independent again (relatively). Keeps all their neighbors wary of NATO participation so they got what they wanted.

Its Ossetia (Осетия) btw.

Whoa, you're only almost 2 months late to debate this. Pretty amazing. I've thought everyone'd be on Russia's neck much earlier.

Anyways.
Here's what you've been hearing: "Bloody Russia, attacking little 'ol Georgia, it's such a cute country, they have the best puppet arse-licker for a president, obviously we love that"
Here's what I've been hearing "Bloody Georgians, attacking little 'ol Ossetia, the bastards. Especially their puppet arse-licking president".

Medvedev actually called it all the most hideous and at the same time hilarious phrase I've ever heard in the news: "An operation to enforce peace on Georgia". And of course with our propaganda machine, they used this sentence all the time. Except the propaganda in all the other countries was even harsher against us.

In my opinion though, Ossetia's the only place that got damaged though, everything else was planned and, better still, an advantage to both sides. So Russia would get Ossetia and that'd be cool. Georgia would get everyone's pity and a good reason to be accepted  into the NATO,  someday.
So basically:
"-Yo man. Attacking Ossetia tomorrow, yeah?
-Yup, dude. That cool with you? Everything ready?"

What's sure a fact is that no one gives a damn about people. They're the only ones who were in trouble.

BTW:

now they claim that Ocetia is part of Russia
For a fact, while South Ossetia doesn't actually belong to Russia, MOST of the population is officially Russian and have Russian passports and want to join our territory. And North Ossetia is Russia's altogether. So I could justify Russia pretty well by saying they were protecting their people. But I won't, since it's not true. We hold as much responsibility for this as Georgia and both the countries definitely didn't do it for the people.

P.S. Please note that I absolutely and utterly despise  Suck-a-Shvile but try to keep relatively neutral.
