i just saw an interview where chis lee said that it is too far for him to travel 36 hours to new zealand in his old age(90 years old)and he is not going to be in the second film!!

but he sais he wants to be the voice of smaug.

Really?  That sucks if it is true.  Are you sure he's 90?  I thought he was a lot younger than that.

Well that's not good.

Christopher Lee isn't 90- yet- but he might be by the time they start filming.

As far as I know Chistopher Lee is only 86, but if you round that up it would be 90  Wink

But still, it might be tough to be 86 and be expected to travel to New Zealand alot.

hmmmmm........i guess he would be too old for that....but i didnt even know they were making a hobbit movie, boy am i in the dark.^_^

I think I heard in an interview a while back that he did meet Tolkien once when he was little. Lucky!!! haha. He said it was of the best moments of his young life, if I do remember correctly.

It would be such a shame if this is true and he doesn't plan to do the movie...he's such a talented actor who loves LotR so much... Sad
