The Hobbit is supposedly coming out on film in the near future does anyone know anything about that and possibly who may be directing it?

basically, there's a bunch of copyright stuff before they can work on it. as far as i know, peter jackson wants to do it.

yeah, i read that too. i think that would be neat, but i assume that means production would start in 2007, because there's not even a script yet... production for a movie like this takes quite a while.

Wow, something to really look forward too.  I don't know about y'all, but after the last movie came out, it was a bummer knowing that there wasn't another movie in the series.  I'm wiggling in my seat now!

but there are other movies to look forward to... i mean, prince caspian, spider-man 3, punisher 2, metal gear solid, world of warcraft, wolverine, magneto, 300, beowulf, indiana jones 4... just to name a few. i have lots more on my list that i am excited to see.

Peter Jackson said he is going to do The Hobbit. I forget what year it will come out. They will have the same people doing the characters as in The Lord of the Rings. ;D

I have heard only that Peter Jackson will direct it from a friend o mine that he is in aTolkien related club and told me that Peter Jackon will direct it for further info i don't know
