Im writin this post to say how much i admire christofer lee as an actor and how great he was in lotr trilogy basically i believe that if we lived in middle earth then christofer lee would definetely had the form of Saruman.I dont know what else i have to say from his appearance to his voice he was Saruman 100% and i believe if u could find someone from the movie that gave the role of his character 100% it was definetely christofer lee.(the rest were awesome too but ill say it again christofer lee played his char better than all the rest).

i don't know about better than the rest as playing their role perfectly. i thought sean bean played boromir perfectly, as with sean astin with samwise. christopher lee did do a great job though, he knew his character probably better than anyone, he reads lord of the rings every year. he's a great actor.

I agree that Christopher Lee did an awesome job, he knew the inside and out of his character, He was the only actor to have actually met Tolkien, He put his all into that character and did a fantastic job, but did he do better? I dont think so. That entire movie was marvelously cast(except for not having me in it ;D.Just Kidding) but every actor did a marvelous job

Christopher Lee  was a great actor and he played his part well. He made his character seem like a real person, not just a person in a movie. However, I do believe Viggo Mortensen, Liv Tyler, Sean Bean, and Elijah Wood  are still my favorites.    Cool

Now, now folks.  Let's not get ahead of ourselves.  Andy Serkis was up in the tops, if not at the very top.  Ian McKellan(sp?) was also a fine portait of his character.  But Christopher Lee was one of the greatest on there, but I cannot say quite the greatest.
As for Liv Tyler, I personally never have liked her.  Not only for the fact that she takes on a position in the cinema version of LOTR that she did not have in the book, but also because she was a rather horrible actor.  If Tolkien were watching, I believe he'd be quite disgusted by the role Arwen played in the cinemas, being one of battle, and swordsmanship, intwined with romance.  Tolkien, in fact kept her quite apart from the books.  No offense to women, of course.

Too true Amroth and well spoken indeed, i agree that liv tyler didnt really give that role justice, and the fact that they used arwen as you described was not in my favor. i sort of in my previous post

All the actors were great but still yet my favorite of all was Lij  Kiss as Frodo  Kiss. As all of you already know and if you don't  then you will soon.

The best thing about Chris, is how big of a LOTR fan he is, He's read the LOTR trilogy every year since he was a teenager. He is a brillant actor, and I could not think of anyone who could porray Saraum better.

Good job to Lee!  I especially appreciated the extended edition to the Return of the King - his role in the beginning.
I wouldn't say he played his role the best, but was simply one of an excellent ensemble of actors.  My personal favorites were Viggo as Aragorn, Ian as Gandalf, Orlando as Legolas and Sean as Samwise - the rest were great too.  I don't think Gandalf could have been played by anyone else other than Ian McKellan.

Christopher Lee is a great actor no matter what role he is playing in. When he was in The Man With The Golden Gun, Star Wars, and LOTR.

I've been a big fan of Christopher Lee's since his Dracula movie days in the early '60's. He was a wonderful Dracula against Peter Cushing in at least one film. I love his work.

Lee wasn't bad. I liked the performance of Ian McKellen, myself.

I agree that Chritopher Lee was amazing, and that no one could have done a better job with Gandalf than Ian McKellan.
I am surprised that Cate Blanchett has not been mentioned yet - I thought she was perfect.

Kate Blanset performed her role excelently but when you see Christofer Lee as Saruman u say omg "he is borned for this role fffs!!!!!".I believe if Tolkien was alive he would definetely say this is SAruman 100%.
