What is your favorite part in the movies? Mine has to be the Siege of Gondor.

The Battle for Helm's Deep.
So many favorites - too many to mention, but that one would have to be my favorite - includes some classic battle scenes and some excellent dialogue.

Too many favs.  I liked the scene outside the "men under the mountain".  Loved the scene where everyone knees for the hobbits.  Liked the mushy scene when Aragorn sees Arwen and kisses her.  Loved the scenes in Fangorn with Merry and Pippin.  The beginning of ROTK when Gimli realized there is "salted pork" and Merry and Pippin are partying.  Liked the scene when the ghost just level everything in ROTK.

I gotta say that I have always loved the journey through Moria, in the books and in the movies.

All the beginning scenes w/  :-*Frodo  Kiss in them...when he meets Gandalf for the first time, and on up to Rivendale (sp), but most of the his scenes, except where he is getting mad or yelling at poor Sam LOL! At least they toned the one scene where he tells Sam go home down and made it less harsh Sad

Personally, I liked the part of the siege of Gondor when King Theoden comes in with his Rohirrim, especially when the Oath-Breakers come in and Legolas takes down the oliphaunt. I also like the bit at the end of RotK, when Frodo is about to sail to the Grey Havens than everyone starts crying and stuff like that. In a cosmic sorta way, that part cracked me up.

Someone could use the song Far Away by Nickleback to make a Frodo Video...I have so much trouble w/ the ROTk scene, even tho I can start the whole thing over, I guess I've lost so many ppl it just hits home. I thin Merry and Pipin have some funny one linners tho, like where Pip says, U need someone of intellegence on this quest...trip...thing. and Merry says, Well, that rules u out, Pip! I think those are funny!

There are to many scenes to decide on just one. So I am going to leave it at that. I like all the movies and all the scenes.

I know we are talking about the movies, but i just want to make sure that you know that Frodo never told Sam to go away. Anyway, i love the Shire scenes and the battles, the battles were so well done.

When he's on the steps, right before the spiderweb scene, when Gollum convince him that Sam is the bad guy that's the one i meant LOL.

My other fave scenes are the ones that are inside Frodo house, where they're in the kitchen, talking over tea, that scene fascinates me for some reason, and the part where he coems in from being w/ Sam and them at Gaffer's, I put myself in those scenes, like when he comes home it's night time, so I see myself running down the hall from where I'd been resting to meet him. LOL but I love all those scenes too, kinda homey.

No, what Gil Galad meant, Sienna, was that in the book, Frodo did not tell Sam to leave, but they were infact split up within Shelobs lair, when Gollum attacks Sam. By the time Sam has over powered Gollum, Frodo has been stung and tied up.

And to answer the original question, i have many favourite scenes throughout the films, such as The battle at the black Gate, the arrival of the Rohirrim at the Pellanor Fields, and Gandalfs battle with the balrog. Every speech throughout the movies, especially before the battles. make me tingle.

Oh, I see, sorry for the mix-up. I am listening to the book on tapes, bc I can't read them by my self, the words throw me, but I fall asleep when I'm listening, I guess bc it is comforting...makes me dream of Frodo tho! LOL In the movies, all the scenes of happy, smily Frodo make me tingle...and the ones in the kitchen w/ him and Gandalf where he makes tea and they hide the ring LOL.

The Battle for Helm's Deep.
So many favorites - too many to mention, but that one would have to be my favorite - includes some classic battle scenes and some excellent dialogue.
I'd have to put this one at the top. Although I also like the one where aragorn jumps off the ship with his undead army.
