Ok, so we have had the intention of starting a new Quest for some time, and I think it's time to start. Here is where you tell us a little about you character before we begin our Quest...


Species: Dwarf
Name: Goarfen Stonehelm
Age: Young, but not a youth. Old enough to have proven his worth in combat
Height: 4 feet 6 inches
Weapons: Traditional Dwarven throwing axes. Smeargolth a stone mallot passed down through his family, inherited by only the one's who could wield it. And an oak bow on his back.
Hair color: Black with a strange tinge of white, even though he is still young
Eye color: Green
Mission: Unknown

Species: Elf
Name:    Lairënuriel (literally 'daughter of the dark meadow')
Age: young to middle aged for an elf
Height: In Unfinished Tales he mentions that Galadriel was a 'man-high' tall, which is six feet four inches so I'll be the same.
Weapons: Bow and sword
Hair color: Deep red
Eye color: Green
Mission: Unknown

Alright, guys, sorry I've been gone so long...Finals are over and summer has begun--which means I have nine million hours of empty time on my hands...and I return to push this Quest on.  Any takers still around? 

I'll go ahead and throw my character together.  For those of you who remember/were a part of the Black Dragon RPG, this character might sound familiar...I get stuck on this one.

Heritage: Born in Rohan--The daughter of Eomer and his wife, the beautiful woman of Dol Amroth, Lotheriel.

Ah! Black Dragon, that was the name. It's been bothering me for some time, it wasn't coming to me.

So yeah. Here's some questions to ponder. What would the plot revolove around/ what time period would this be? Whats the mission? Do we know eachother? stuff like that

Quite right, quite right Monky.  Wasn't that the greatest rpg ever?  *sad sigh*  But let's move on...

I'm all for the time being after the destruction of the ring....so much easier and more free that way.  But of course I don't care if you guys want to do a different time.  The mission is the harder task to determine...

Does anyone have copies of the old Black Dragon Quest RPG, or know how to get their hands on it? I would love to re-read it!

Aye, me too. I once stumbled on an old topic from what I believed to be the old MET, on Google. I searched my username to see what would come up and I got some old topics. It was weird. I have no idea how it worked or if a copy of Black Dragon is somehow stored somewhere...

Mmm...I would think there would be a copy of the thing somewhere...Goodness, Rita, remember the old, old, OLD version we did on the Palantir?  *shakes head*  Miss those days...

But, let us move on, I've got this incredible urge to write...and nothing can quench it, except to begin RPing once more.  Who's ready to start?

I think we don't need character descriptions. They spoil the surprise! Let the flow of RP do it for you.

Anyhow, yes- we should just start it, the sooner the better. Decide on a title for the thread Lexi, introduce the narrator/your protagonist/the scene/setting, etc, and see how it goes.

Right, I went ahead and threw something together...Not sure how great it is, I went with the whole idea I posted in the other thread for this RPG.  If you guys don't like it, we can change it...just thought we should get this thing rolling....

As of about ten minutes ago I have just made the first drawing of my character (read Of Treachery and Trust to see description). Once I have established the location of the scanner, I'll put it in my illustrations thread, along with what I consider the best drawing of Vargaz I have ever done. I also have a painting of her from eons ago, if people want to see that as well. I'll tell you now, the differences are weirdly good.

Anyhow, I'm also taking the opportunity for people to give me requests for further illustrations of their own characters provided they are contributing to the story on a regular basis, or are intending on doing so. If people are interested, I'll go on information from your writing, and any extra snippets that you decide to give me. If you want to keep some of the character information private for the surprise of RP, then just PM me, and we'll arrange some system where I don't post the image until you want me to. Also specify whether you want just the profile, or the entire body. Profiles might take longer

Hey Wolfchild, I never thought of that...the character sketches I mean.  That would  be absolutely fantastic!  Maybe you could do one for my character as soon as she starts to flesh out some, or whenever you like if you want to.  ^_^  Thanks, I've got some plans for this RPG...wahahha...

Will do- just have some college stuff to do today, so I'll get it sorted as soon as I can.

Also, congrats on your choice of title. I believe Tolkien actually said that the child of Eomer was not only a boy, but was given the awful name 'Elfwine' which stuck in my head because of the lack of effort that I considered was spent in it's deciding. Apparently he could have been one of many though, but I still think Arayn is better.

Oh, and I must appologize for any poor posts I post in the RPG.  Sometimes I don't remember my tolkein history that well (for the life of me can't remember the name of the Golden Hall thing), that and sometimes I'm tired and the posts suck...feel free to correct me if I mess something up.
