Ok, so I've been thinking. Theres alot of "Your favorite" this or that polls and topics. But what if there was ONE topic for ALL of them? Basically I start by asking a favorite question (i.e. What is your favorite drink?) and then some poeple answer and we can discuss that, and then when someone thinks it's time to move on they can ask the next favorite question. And it goes on and on. Sound like fun?

Ok, I''ll start the topic off...

What are your top 5 favorite movies?
------------------------------------------------

Mine would have to be...
1. No Country for Old Men
2. Memento
3. Gettysburg
3. Rushmore
4. The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings
5. The Island

2.) Schindler's list "Whoever saves one life, saves the world entire."
3.) The Godfather Trilogy "I made him an offer he couldn't refuse"
4.) LOTR Trilogy "The battle of Helm's Deep is over; the battle for Middle Earth is about to begin."

Favourite Hot drink:

Normal, honest to goodness, no nonsense instant coffee (Kenco, usually).
I can't be dealing with all that froth and latte nonsense first thing in the morning - just coffee granules, sugar, boiling water & milk!

We have a lot of things in common!

Anyhow, back to favourite hot drinks.

1.  Chai tea with soy milk
2.  Hot water with lemon, ginger, and honey
3.  Jamaican pumpkin curry soup (not really a beverage, but I like threes)

After saying that LOTRfan1414, I had to go rewatch it. and yes, it is quite confusing. But the way the film runs backwards in color, and black and white forwards, and it ends up meeting in the same spot, is one of the most amazing film feats I can think of.

What is your favorite appetizer to order at a restaurant?

Mine would be bread sticks, soup, or salad.

I could eat nothing but appetizers!!!  laugh

I think my favourites would be:

1.  Nachos (this is always in the appetizer section even though they make up a whole meal's worth of food).
2.  Jalepeno poppers (if I happen to be at a pub).
3.  French onion soup.

To each their own, I guess.  But I don't think this is the debating society.  Memento, I thought was brutal, not confusing, but very frustrating to watch Guy Pierce's character continually get deceived by people around him and struggle with his short-term memory loss.  I felt for the guy, and Pierce is a great talent, but overall I didn't enjoy the film.  For me it was painful to watch.
